4/3/2024 0 Comments H11 halogen vs hid bulb length![]() I put them in my Toyota Sienna with new OEM headlight housings. If you have a halogen projector stick with a halogen bulb, and yes the Philips Xtreme Vision are the best out there at this point in time. ![]() and so fall hook line and sinker for false claims of high lumens, etc. Please don't listen to those that just throw any Mickey Mouse cheap LED junk into their headlights and assume because it's brighter they can see further and they aren't blinding other drivers, they are too cheap to do a proper retrofit, either with HID projectors or a true LED setup like from the Toyota Corolla, etc. I have a proper HID retrofit in my Sequoia, with HID projectors, HID ballast, etc. I like the temp option that zippytie did with the HID install but not sure if this will work on a permanent basis. On the 2017 Highlander, I read that the LED DRL are 5000K color and hence the 5000K HID bulbs is a better match option but also read that the non-Philips bulbs tend to ruin/damage the headlinght and that is why all are recommending the 4300K Philips option. I might go with HID option on my 2013, since it does not have a cover and it would be a simple install and then decide if that is a good option for the 2017 we just picked up. I have looked at NightBreaker and SilverStar but have not seen any topics discussing best H11 replacement options. I agree with her but would like to possibly add a little more light by using another H11 bulb similar to Sylvania XV that I USED BASED ON recommendation way back in 2012. My wife thinks that the new 2017 Highlander stock lights are good, compared to her old 2004 Sienna Limited AWD. I have been reading and following both the lighting threads and I am familiar with the HID options also with the H11 to H9 conversion.
